Discount Travel Advisor, Issue #001 -- teaser here July 04, 2004 |
| Hi Folks!
If you already don't know yet, Singapore Airlines has the longest non-stop flight in history. You get to sit in the new Airbus A340-500 for a wopping 18 hours and traveling over 10,300 miles before you get off the plane from Singapore to New York. Airbus gave its A340 longer wings and bigger fuel tanks to be able to handle such a trip and called it the 500 series. Boeing is supposed to be coming out with its own long range version but I don't know when. Check out the fares from one of our partners at: http://www.thelowestpricelist.com/news
When will fuel cost give us a break? This is the question on all our minds and there seems no real relief in sight. Most of the major US Airlines are posting huge losses and some are close to calling for chapter 11 man. Airlines are having as hard a time as ever to stay profitable and are trying to keep ticket prices in line but it seems like low fare airlining is the only way to make a buck around here. Me personnally have no quams with making money this way but I am not one for greyhound in the sky. No meals, movies, first class, and seatings assignments to me takes away from an enjoyable flight especially when its over an hour. US Airways is the latest to offer lower fares using this method and their fares are low I must say. see if you can book a cheap flight on them with one of our partners at http://www.thelowestpricelist.com/news Well, thats it for now but I have got some sale goodies coming up soon..stay tooned and HAPPY TRAVELING!
